Jerne through autism

I specialize in comprehensive autism evaluations for children ages 18 months to 8 years using gold-standard assessment tools, including the ADOS-2 and CARS. My evaluations are designed to provide families with clear, thorough information to support early identification, intervention, and access to appropriate services.

Meet Shella

Shella Beauzil is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. She is also a certified EMDR-IA therapist, blending evidence-based therapy with a compassionate, whole-person approach.

Shella earned her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston College. With over a decade of experience, she has supported children, families, and adults through life’s most challenging transitions. Her work spans child therapy, early childhood intervention, autism evaluation, and adult psychotherapy. She has also specialized in working with oncology patients, caregivers, and survivors—helping individuals and families find resilience and hope while navigating the uncertainty of illness and recovery.

Shella’s career also includes years in hospital settings, where she worked in both acute care and rehabilitation. As a medical social worker, case manager, and discharge planner, she guided patients and families through complex care transitions, connected them with essential resources, and provided steady emotional support during times of vulnerability and change.

In addition to her clinical training, Shella holds a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification. While she isn’t currently teaching classes, she draws on the principles of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation to help clients regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and reconnect with themselves. Her holistic style meets people where they are—combining therapeutic skills with calming, body-based tools for healing and growth.

As an artist, mother of two, and lifelong learner, Shella brings warmth, creativity, and authenticity into every session. Her goal is simple: to create a safe, empowering space where clients can feel seen, supported, and capable of meaningful change.
